Meet at 9am at the step-thru gate along Mugga Lane. Parking is on the farm side of road ( a gravel lay-by) between the tip and Boral Quarry (closer to Boral site). I will be parked there quite early so look for my white car.   The reserve includes some COG woodland survey sites, and was increased in size some years ago as an offset.  There are no formal tracks, so sturdy shoes are a must. It is often very good for small bush birds.

Post event report

Fourteen members and visitors joined me on a cold but still, sunny morning for a wander around the northern end of the Isaacs Ridge Nature Reserve on Mugga Lane. We encountered a few surprises, including two over-wintering Olive-backed Orioles and a group of three Black-faced Cuckooshrikes. At one point, just as I explained that the area often has Mistletoebirds through winter, one called and flew over us. Other birds of note included a female Scarlet Robin, a large group of White-winged Choughs, a White-eared Honeyeater, a Black-shouldered Kite, Spotted Pardalotes, a Satin Bowerbird and Brown and Buff-rumped Thornbills.  A very pleasant outing to a seldom visited area of this reserve.
