Alison Mackerras led this walk, which was attended by 20 members and guests. We started at the Scout Hall on Kitchener St, between Hughes and Garran, following tracks which skirted the golf course. We had only travelled a short way before encountering the first Superb Parrots and Gang-gangs, the first of nine parrot species seen on a very overcast morning, with a little light rain at times. It was somewhat surprising that we did not encounter any small birds, although locals suggest they are elsewhere in the reserve. Sandra Henderson
