Meet at 8:30am at the reserve entrance on William Hovell Drive. It is not clearly signposted on either side of the road and parking is limited.

Approximately 5.5km from the Glenloch Interchange there is a hard-to-see nature reserve notice on the left hand (south) side of the road. You can park here and walk down to meet at the reserve entrance on this side of the road.

To use the off-road car park on the opposite side (north) of the road, DO NOT attempt a righthand turn if travelling from the east.  Instead continue on William Hovell Drive until you reach the William Hovell/Drake-Brockman roundabout – an approximate distance of 2.1km. Go around the roundabout and head back the way you came.  The off-road car park will then be on your left. Climb over the gate and walk through the underpass to meet the group.

The walk will take about 3 hours but can be varied. Bring your binoculars, water, a snack, and sun protection. There are no toilets in the reserve.

No need to register.  Muriel Story – muriel.story@gmail.com
