Bibaringa’ is a private property managed by the Guth family and used primarily for horse agistment. It adjoins Mt Stromlo to the west and runs along Cotter Road for a few kilometres.

The topography is quite hilly with some creek lines and numerous healthy eucalypt remnants. Between 1998 and 2008, Stuart Harris regularly visited this property as a friend of the Guths and compiled a list of over 100 species, as well as leading a few COG walks there. Since 2008 Stuart has been preoccupied with numerous projects and has only visited Bibaringa a few times so he is glad to return there to lead a bird walk and see what this lovely property has to offer. The walk will commence at 8.30am so please assemble at the Bibaringa front (pink) gate from 8am onwards. It is a couple of kms past the Mt Stromlo turnoff if heading towards the Cotter. Please take care parking near the front gates, where we will car pool and drive a short way through the property to start the walk. The aim is to finish the walk at approximately 11am.  Please bring sturdy footwear and some morning tea and water. Please RSVP to Stuart at shadowplay369@gmail.com by the end of October.
