COG’s Committee of Management has decided to cancel this month’s previously-scheduled Members’ Night. The Committee has made this decision following discussions with Jack Holland, the meetings organiser, in light of the current, and anticipated, impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canberra and its region. The Committee has resolved that the risks of disease transmission, combined with the withdrawal of some speakers, makes the January face-to-face Members’ Night unviable. Unfortunately, a streamed, on-line Members Night is not an option this month.
Please note that COG’s February meeting will proceed, either by Webinar or face-to-face. The decision on format will be advised in due course.
The Committee will consider rescheduling a Members’ Night for later in the year, in consultation with Jack Holland and potential presenters.
The Committee very much regrets having to make this decision, but believes it is in the best interest of our members and visitors. Jack Holland and the Committee proffer their thanks to the COG members who generously offered to make a presentation at the Members’ Night.
